Graduate Stories
Real adults. Real diplomas.
Hear from adults who went back and finished their accredited high school diploma with Learn Star Academy — on their own schedule.
In their words
What our graduates say
"I never thought I'd get my diploma at 34. Learn Star made it possible — I finished in 5 months while working full time. (Individual experience; not a typical or promised timeline.)"
"The AI tutor helped me understand math concepts I struggled with for years. I passed every quiz and finally feel confident."
"As a mom of three, I needed a flexible program. I studied late at night and earned my diploma in just 4 months. (Individual experience; not a typical or promised timeline.)"
How to read these stories
Each story is one graduate's own account of their experience. Your path will depend on your own situation: the credits accepted after Registrar review, how much time you can study each week, and your academic progress. Estimated completion is 2–6 months. Some students finish in weeks, while others take several months or longer, and every student has up to 18 months from enrollment to complete the program.
When you compare programs, look beyond reviews. Check accreditation, what tuition includes, how transfer credits are handled, and what support is available. You can see graduate outcomes, review our accreditation, compare tuition, and read the FAQ.
A school for adult learners
Learn Star Academy is designed specifically for adults, and every student is 18 or older. We are building an adult community of learners: people who are returning to school around jobs, families, and other commitments, and who chose a course-based diploma instead of the test-based GED route.
Learn Star is part of Excel Education Systems. In the future, Learn Star is expected to serve the adult students that Excel High School serves today. Until that change is announced and put in place, Excel High School continues to serve its current adult students.
