LearnStar Response Systems
Not enough computers to go around? LearnStar's StarPad and StarLite wireless keypads are designed to provide an affordable solution for transforming the standard classroom into an interactive and collective classroom.
Utilizing radio frequency technology, the LearnStar keypads are capable of interacting with A+Classroom SRS from hundreds of feet in any direction. Unlike infrared technology, line of sight is not required for reliable communication with radio frequency.
StarPadTM
There is no thumb-scrolling with the LearnStar’s v24 StarPad. A full QWERTY style keypad and a 8-line backlit LCD screen allow for single answer, multiple choice, short answer style questions (alpha and numerical), and full two directional messaging. The keypads feature a 14-hour battery life for a full day's use before recharging in their customized charging trays. These rugged, durable devices are ideal for younger students needing the complete alpha range and larger, more manageable buttons. For older students, the full QWERTY keypad provides short answer capability without thumb-scrolling or ‘texting’ entry.

Additional Notes:
1 This keypad system supports a 4-channel configuration option to reduce the occurrence of multi-system interference within reasonable proximities. Mobile packages (sets of keypads and 1 corresponding base station) can be preconfigured by LearnStar technical support for implementation in multi-system installations. Once configured, up to four systems can operate simultaneously within a reasonable proximity of each other without cross interference. This proximity can vary by environment but in general is a linear distance of 50 feet.
2 When properly stored and recharged on a regular basis, these batteries are capable of operating for a continuous period of 14 hours. However, it is recommended that keypads are returned to the storage/recharging trays after use and that the trays are plugged in for recharging at the end of the day.
